Thank you Debi!!

Another fabulous time was had by Quilty Pleasures in May!  A big thank you to Debi for feeding us and Candace for finding room for us.

Sorry ladies for such a late post.  Month of May, where did you go? With graduation and getting my (2) graduation quilts finished I had no time to be on this computer.  We are loving meeting each month and now there is talk of increasing it to TWO times a month.  What do you all think of that?  Post your comments below and we will discuss it at the next meeting.  The thought is to have one meeting where the house hosts the lunch and the next meeting that month will be BYOL (bring your own lunch).  Let us know.

Debi had an awesome barbecued chicken lunch for us all in May.  Here is the recipe for her delicious salad:

Salad Dressing

2-3 tbsp Veganaise
(Veganaise - a healthier version of mayo, you can find it at Fry's in the health food refrigerator section near the Almond milk)
2 tsp spicy Dijon mustard
1 tsp olive oil
2 Tbsp Apple cider vinegar
1 tsp. lemon juice
1 Tbsp maple syrup
1 tsp. shallots
1 Tbsp poppy seeds (I used less)
1/2 tsp garlic powder
Salt / pepper

This doesn't make very much, so I double or triple it.  (Debi)

Enjoy the pictures of show and tell....

OH DEER by Pam.  This is so cute...she made two of these but we only got a picture of one.
Sorry Pam on the whole closed eyes thing...I need to work
on my picture taking skills.  Oh well, we will just admire the quilt!

Look at this cute back and label that Pam made.

Julie's Christmas Masterpiece!

Julie, I think you should send in a written description of this quilt:  Who the pattern is by, how you did it and yada yada...  In fact, we should all do that with our quilts.   If someone stumbles upon this site then they might want to know.

This video; though it was a good idea...still doesn't show the detail and fun embellishments that you added.  Truly a heirloom!

(Also next time I will video much, much slower).
