Candace hosted the start of the year. Our lunch was a perfect Chicken Noodle soup with Candace's yummy bread. Trifle for desert and we were all so full. If you search "bread" or "bread recipe" you can find the earlier post with Candace's bread recipe. (Search is in upper left corner of blog)
Here is the recipe for the soup:
6 C Water / Chicken Bouillon (follow the ratio of the bouillon to water depending on what you’re using)
2 C Celery (chopped)
2 C Carrots (chopped)
½ C Onion (Diced)
1½ – 12 oz packages Reames Homestyle Egg Noodles (freezer section)
--Boil water/bouillon once boiling and dissolved add noodles. Let noodles boil for a few minutes, then add celery, carrots and onion. Let boil till desired softness of noodles, celery, carrots and onions. (It usually takes about 20 minutes)
2 - 10.5 oz cans Cream of Chicken
1 - 12 oz can Evaporated Milk
Seasonings to taste (salt, pepper, garlic powder, etc)
Mix well add to soup, let simmer
1 Rotisserie Chicken (shredded)
Add chicken to soup, let simmer
Sometimes it gets too thick so I’ll add chicken broth until it is the consistency I want.

| These Farmer's Wife quilts are honestly too amazing for words. I for one, am smitten with them and they are a true heirloom. We watched Diane make these blocks since day one; an example of grit for sure! |
